Mental illness is still a taboo in many countries. According to the WHO, over 300 million people worldwide suffer from depression. The situation is no different in Austria either: around one in seven suffer from mental illnesses, such as depression or anxiety disorders. However, many people with distress do not undergo treatment. Reasons for this can include information deficits, social stigma and undersupply.
