Hyacinthus
According to a greek legend, Hyacinthus was a young man of Amyclae in Laconia. His great beauty attracted the love of Apollo, who killed him accidentally while teaching him to throw the discus. When Hyacinthus died, Apollo did not allow Hades to claim the youth; rather, he made a flower, the hyacinth, from his spilled blood. -
